Norma Kamali's One Stop Shop

Fashion designer Norma Kamali created her wellness line a little under ten years ago. Inspired by what olive oil does for the body, she came up with a skincare line (which includes a sea clay masque, soap, massage oil, and liniment) containing the core ingredient, olive oil. (You must MUST try the masque, which is at once both exfoliating and pore-minimizing.)

Then a few years ago, Kamali installed a Wellness Cafe in her flagship store on 56th Street: Inspired by her new raw, vegan lifestyle, Kamali invited Organic Avenue to set up shop in the cafe, serving everything from green juice to soups to raw pumpkin snacks (all very delicious, trust me). She also carries the Intelligent Nutrients line (from Aveda founder, Horst Rechelbacher), workout DVDs from Physique 57, a small curated selection of books, as well as her OTHER olive oil line (meant for cooking).

The entire space is painted a slick, austere white, and when I stopped by the other day, a low chanting track was playing on the speakers. I was immediately given a handmade goji berry smoothie, personally shaken by Kamali herself. (Beyond glamorized.) Whether you're interested in buying one of her insanely chic bathing suits, cat-eye sunglasses or just a really delicious organic juice, it's all here and definitely worth checking out. If that's not possible, find it here online.
