Last October, during the spring/summer collections, there was one show everyone was anticipating: the comeback of Phoebe Philo, at the House of Celine. A few months before, she had shown the most perfect clothes for Resort that had left me coveting the perfect-fitting khaki pants and tweed-like jackets. With bated breath, all of us "Philophiles" were left guessing what she would send down the runway. Then out came the most wearable, stripped-down-to-perfection collection with a sense of urgency that one had not seen on the runways in quite some time. It was official, Phoebe was back--and with her returned the true essence of dressing for the modern woman.
