Postcard From Milan: D&G

We'restill in the thick of winter but if you're already thinking about nextyear's ski vacation, you won't want to go without a piece from theD&G 2010 fall collection.

For their diffusion line, Dolce &Gabbana worked the alpine snow bunny look from head to toe--a wood-cabin-as-runway with a video of swishing skiers created the backdrop forthis happy, nordic adventure.

Highlights included rhinestone-encrusted ski goggles, knit snowflake pattern onesies, unitardsand sweaters of every shape. Added to the mix were petal or snowflakeprinted chiffon skirts and blouses; fur jackets, skirts and bloomers;an assortment of little brown leather pieces trimmed in grey knit andeven reindeer denim.

For evening there was a tiny three-piece shortstuxedo and a parade of white sheer chiffon long dresses with floppyblack bow ties. Finishing off each of the 60 looks were boots so cuteand furry they looked like they should come with a leash.
