Postcard From Paris: Nina Ricci
We were absolutely transported by the romantic, feminine fare at Nina Ricci: Bouquet-worthyfloral appliques, bustled pencil skirts, rich satin slip dresses, andnipped-at-the-waist, ladylike skirt suits.
The palettes of dusty pales and sweet florals were grounded with lots of black. Frilly pieceswere mixed with knits and woolens, including darted, pullover sweaters,a knit bustier/fur trim cardigan twin set, and for evening, afloor-sweeping mauve mohair bathrobe coat topping a black tieredstrapless gown. Teased '60s hair (a big fall runway trend)and platform heels finished the looks.
