Postcard from Paris: Relaunch We Love

The iconic '80s brand Equipment made a silk two-pocket camp shirt. The label was launched in the mid-'70s by Christian Restoin (longtime boyfriend of French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld and father of her now famous-in-their-own-right children Julia and Vladimir) and then shuttered in the late '90s.

But starting this fall, Restoin, along with Serge Azria, CEO andcreative director of both Joie and Current/Elliott, is bringingEquipment back.

In a Paris showroom, we saw a preview of the line, which recreates thebeloved silk shirts--and expands into perfectly washed/fitted leathershirts, softly rumpled corduroy ones, and wear-all-year military-style ones. I never really embraced the trend on the first go around, but I'mdefinitely on board this time. In fact, I'm trying to edit down mypersonal order; I want one of everything!

The collection will beavailable in the U.S. at Saks and Intermix.
