My Top 5: Crisscross Wedge Sandals

I've been walking around in the most inappropriate suede boots all spring. I've sort of been getting away with it up until now, but it's 80 degrees today and a suede ankle boot seems ludicrous. After jointly deciding that my footwear is pathetic, creative director and footwear expert Andrea Linett and I set out to scour the Lower East Side for the perfect wedge. The wedge of choice? These cool crisscross ones.

Pour La Victoire: Fashion news associate editor Christina Perez always wears these with unexpectedly bright-colored socks, like hot pink. Whether she likes it or not, I'll be duplicating that look. I have a multitude of colorful socks that I ordered from welovecolors.com.

Dolce Vita: When we tried these on, it looked like our feet were wrapped in really chic bandages. The good news is that they are so comfortable, they won't leave you in need of actual bandages.

Loft: This affordable ankle-strap pair comes in such a pretty stone color. I run around the office all day in heels, so when I saw that these have cushioned footbeds, I had to have them.

Jil Sander: Leave it to Jil Sander to make the perfect sleek, minimal wedge. The pale green color is something different, but still really neutral. I think the Velcro strap is genius too.

Pedro Garcia: This satin pair is a bit dressier than the leather versions, but can still easily be dressed down by a pair of skinny jeans. In basic black, I'll get so much wear out of these this season. And this is a great price for Pedro Garcia.

I think that my feet will be happy to finally get some air! Tell me about your favorite wedge style.
