Have You Ever Had A Random Fashion Muse?

Every so often, I'll look across the room, see someone, and think, I wish I was that girl. I'm not talking about oh, I'm into her shoes or, I wonder where she got that jacket, but rather that her whole style and person so perfectly represent exactly the way I'd like to look.

I had one of those moments at the Theory resort appointment the other day when I spotted this girl who turned out to be a buyer for the uber-swanky Asian department store Lane Crawford. I'm obsessed with the mash-up of a feminine/sporty top, a punky/sexy skirt, a lingerie-inspired camisole, a ladylike/preppy bag, menswear/modern shoes, and an assortment of high/low bracelets--all worn with barely-there makeup and wash-and-go hair. I'm not sure that I could pull off this combination (even if I managed to source every piece), but the styling was really inspiring and made me think about new ways to mix pieces I already own.

Has anyone else had an experience with a random fashion muse?
