Beach House Discovery: Clinique SPF40 + Anthelios SPF50 + Anthelios 60

I'm spending the week in Montauk and happily, my biggest concern at the moment revolves around tanning or, more specifically, the prevention thereof. While I log almost no time actually sitting surf side, as I mentioned in my last post, my days are devoted to the sun-intensive pursuits of golf and tennis. I'm always neurotic about protecting my skin, but this insane heat has made me fully paranoid, especially about shielding my face. Based on how unscorched I remain after four days outdoors, I think I've hit on the holy grail of facial sun protection--sunscreen layering.

I came to this discovery by essentially piling on every product in my medicine cabinet: I start with a coat of Anthelios 60 Melt-In Sunscreen Lotion. On top of that I slather Clinique City Block 40. And finally, I cap it all off with Anthelios Stick Sensitive Area SPF50+ on my nose, lips, ears, and around my eyes. Admittedly, this is not an inexpensive cocktail of products, but it's ultimately a lot cheaper than a face-lift!
