Rag & Bone Opens A New Store and Launches 3 New Collections

Regular readers of this blog know about our collective Lucky obsession with the line Rag & Bone, and starting this week, the infatuation deepens, with the opening of their fourth NYC store this Friday, this one in Nolita (73 E. Houston St., New York, NY 10012), a few blocks from their original Soho location. Dreamy designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright (in addition to loving their clothes, I think all of us have not-so-secret crushes on this gorgeous duo) have taken over the former Cafe Colonial space on Houston Street and installed the three "companion collections" to their main line: Jean, Knit, and Shirt, as well as a shoe store in what used to be the restaurant's kitchen.

Last night, to celebrate the opening, David and Marcus invited a small group of editors to a champagne toast and store tour followed by a very fun dinner at the new hot spot, Pulino's (the thin crust pizzas are addictive). If you get a chance, visit this store. The scrupulously restored wood floors, tin ceilings, and ceramic tiles are the ideal backdrop for the designer's perfect striped sweaters and knit dresses, crisp jeans and khakis, and wear-to-death shoes and boots. One of the highlights of the evening was that David and Marcus generously allowed each of us to choose a pair of shoes. I picked the black lace-up booties on the far left of the bottom picture here. I doubt I'll be able to hold out till fall to start wearing them!
