Former Fashion Editor Launches Golf Apparel (And Yes, It's Actually Stylish)

As far as a setting for a fashion show, it doesn't get much more picturesque than the Bridge Country Club in Bridgehampton, NY (look at the insane view of the ocean and the spectacular course from the patio of the club house) where former InStyle fashion market director, Toby Tucker Peters, launched her new line of woman's golf (and apres golf) apparel this past Saturday. As a golfer, I can attest to the fact that the options for cool, fashionable golf wear for women are slim.

Further, most of the stuff that's out there doesn't easily transition from sport to street so you end up looking fairly ridiculous when running a few errands after a round. Toby, an avid golfer, knew all about these issues so her clothes, while fully technical, wouldn't look out of place at any other weekend destination. And, as you can see from these photos, there's plenty that will appeal to the chic non-athlete as well, a rare feat in a sports-oriented line (Adidas by Stella McCartney excepted). Toby's proud parents were at the show, which was a family endeavor--her mom and aunt knitted the adorable club covers that were propped in ultra luxe all-leather MacKenzie golf bags in retro color-combos. Toby Tucker will be sold at specialty stores and pro shops nationwide and on Toby's website (which will launch later this week).
