Lollapalooza Style: The Ettes, Matt & Kim, The Big Pink, and More

Style and fashion guru April Francis of The Haute Closet is reporting live all weekend from Lollapalooza. Check back for the best looks from the festival as well as exclusive interviews with the coolest performers.

Coco & Poni from The Ettes

After their show at the BMI stage, Coco and Poni from The Ettes joined us to chat about Tennessee, shopping, and style. For them, it's de rigueur to stop in to Karen Elson's vintage boutique, Venus & Mars, each picking up pieces for both street and the stage. Front woman, writer, and child-voiced pinup Coco is definitely as passionate about style as she is about music, and drummer Poni is working on her own clothing line. As of late they've been collaborating with uber-talented producer Dan Auerbach of the The Black Keys.

Mary from The Big Pink

Wearing a one-of-a-kind piece she found at vintage shop Squaresville in L.A., Mary was backstage with her bandmates before their performance. Check out her laces.

Matt & Kim

Kim told us that she feels free to indulge in sparkles onstage, and while she has quite the collection of body art, Matt is ink-free. They've been partners for seven years; we think this duo's complementary approach to both music and style may be one of the secrets to their success.

Alaina from The Constellations

We had to stop Alaina--she was wearing this summer's ubiquitous floral dress with rock-star aplomb.
