What Lucky Editors Were Up To This Weekend
Andrea Ceraso, photo assistant: This weekend I was truly inspired by Erica Domesek's website, psimadethis.com. I clicked through it for days gathering inspiration, then finally decided on what I wanted to make. I ventured out to a ton of bead stores, including fun2bead, and bought colored strings, beads, and even nuts from a hardware store to make bracelets based on Erica's own creations. Below are some of my finished products--it was fun and easy and I plan to make them for all of my friends. Be sure to check out Erica as our guest blogger in November!
Maura Lynch, senior beauty editor:On Friday night, I headed up to Citi Field (my first trip to the new stadium) to watch the Mets play the Phillies--with Mets fans. It was HORRIBLE for a Phils fan. The Phillies did not score a single run, and the distinctively-named Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey had a near-perfect game. But it was worth it for three reasons: the free, 45-minute New York City Water Taxi ride to the Queens stadium (a Delta Airlines-sponsored service), the delicious pulled pork sandwich from Blue Smoke, and the fact that on Saturday and Sunday, the Phillies ended up crushing them.

Margaret Williamson, fashion assistant: I was able to catch a rare set by Matt Vasquez, the lead singer of Delta Spirit, on Friday night at Webster Hall. I'm obsessed with his band and he performed all of their songs solo with his acoustic guitar. On Saturday, my roommate and I hosted an impromptu roof gathering. I taught the girls how to make fishtail braids and the guys entertained us with their harmonicas. We spread out tie-dye blankets and lit tall candles from the bodega downstairs once the sun went down. We had boiled crawfish, cheese grits, fried pickles, and cornbread delivered from Mara's Homemade and enjoyed one of the last nice nights of the season.
