Anna Sui: Fashion Week Scorecard
The Scene: Sui's theme for spring 2011 seemed to be Little House on the Prairie . The backdrop was, literally, a depiction of a little house surrounded by fields of wheat. TV personality Kelly Osborne, photographer Bruce Weber, Real Housewife Kelly Bensimon, and singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira were all in attendance.
The Look: Unmistakably Laurel Canyon/flower power. The outfits were girly and very '70s-retro--in the best possible way. There were touches of crochet, paisley, liberty prints, fringe, and patchwork and models wore feathers and flowers in their hair.
The Pieces We Want: The slouchy suede messenger bags, mixed print dresses, and the lace dresses.
