A Peace Treaty Empowers Local Artisans Worldwide To Use Traditional Techniques

For the past two years, Dana Arbib and Farah Malik of A Peace Treaty have worked with local craftspeople in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Turkey, and most recently Peru and Bolivia, creating indigenous-inspired wares employing traditional techniques. The result is a line of gorgeous graphic/ethnic scarves and chunky bronze jewelry. "It's so empowering for artisans to do things the 'old way,'" says Arbib.
