Sara Millionaire's Top Five Beauty Products
I often get asked what makeup products I use, which is kind of funny, considering my beauty routine hasn't changed in 10 years (apart from an unfortunate phase when I experimented with enough rainbow eyeshadow to outfit the entire cast of RuPaul's Drag Race). I'm certainly not a beauty blogger, but I do have a few products I absolutely swear by, and I will sing their praises to anyone who will listen. The best part is that they're all under $25, because I'm poor and high-end beauty counters kind of intimidate me. These are my top five beauty products of all time:
1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers tinted moisturizer, about $13, drugstores
I'm all about dewy, natural-looking skin, and this tinted moisturizer delivers really even, totally sheer coverage. It definitely gives you that fresh-faced "of course I'm not wearing makeup, I just have incredible skin!" look.
2. NYC Browser eyebrow powder and wax kit, about $3, drugstores
Strong, defined brows are part of my everyday look, but I don't come by them naturally: I've sworn by this crazy-cheap little wonder for over a decade. Trust me: There's no need to shell out the cash for a brand-name brow kit--this baby really does the trick. The angled brush is super-easy to use and makes brows look naturally lush.
3. Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, $24, Sephora
I can't stand a shiny lip, but there's nothing worse than chalky, dry-feeling matte lipsticks. This chubby little lip pencil is my savior, laying on smooth, ultra-creamy lipcolor that's super-saturated, silky-feeling, and totally shine-free. I swear by "Belle du Jour" (a pinky nude) for every day and "Red Square" (the perfect tomato red) for special occasions.
4. Almay Liquid Eyeliner, about $8, drugstores
Winged black cat-eye liner has been my signature look since I was 14, and this is the liquid eyeliner I've always trusted. It doesn't smudge, the color stays inky-black all day, and its felt-tip applicator allows for the finest of lines.
5. Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer, $22, Sephora
Don't let the words "all over shimmer" scare you -- I'm not really into shimmer, but like I said above, I am into dewiness and this product makes you look like a hyper-moisturized elfin goddess. Swiped onto cheekbones over foundation or on bare skin, it leaves a subtle, natural-looking glow that will have people asking you what your skincare routine is.
