Lanvin for H&M: Something to Seriously Get Excited About

After unleashing a frenzy of speculation with several black-and-white teaser videos on its Facebook page, H&M has officially announced that its next designer collaboration will be with Parisian luxury brand Lanvin.

As someone who adores the incredibly chic and influential fashion house, but has never imagined--ever --that I would get my hands on one of its couple-thousand-or-so-dollar pieces, this is very exciting news.

"I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-marketcollection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxuryrather than Lanvin going public," said the label's beloved creativedirector, the bow-tie-wearing Alber Elbaz.

I've already marked my calendar with the launch date, November 20--and I'm sure I'm not the only one that will be lining up that morning outside my local H&M.
