Tory Burch: Fashion Week Scorecard

The Scene: Models lined the runway at the Studio at Lincoln Center while editors and buyers scurried through streams of photographers and camera crews.

The Look: Tory Burch is California dreaming in a major way. Keeping with the '70s vibe of spring 2011, Tory took us back. From Palm Springs to Baja, leisure suits to jergas (stripey hooded pullovers), this well-styled collection was modern, wearable, and remarkably without an ounce of kitsch. Gold lame and tangerine added brightness to an otherwise neutral color scheme. As per usual, Tory put her shoes and bags out on display, which left us asking the question, "why can't we have this now?"

The Pieces We Want: The Baja tunic paired with the gold lame lounge pants, a white floor-length silk safari dress, and a blouson orange dress with five-inch gold platform sandals.
