3. "Red is a major color for fall, so try to keep that in your rotation. Greens and nudes too--Chloe is doing all nude and camo. A lot of people are showing that khaki green. Alexander Wang has great green basics right now."

1. Gloves, socks, and hosiery. "For accessories, short and long gloves are big. Hosiery too--socks especially," Francis says. "You don't just have to do black hosiery with your dress. Rotate in prints and textures. Short socks can go with a sandal or boot, a tall sock with a bootie or sandal."

2. Capes. "As for coats, a wool cape is an easy way to update the wardrobe, and it goes really well with a high-waisted trouser."

3. Fur. "Fur accents were everywhere: Chanel, Dior, Lanvin, Hermes, Chloe. Fur trim on anything is big for fall."
