Why Is It So Hard To Buy The Things You Need?

Currently, I don't own any white T-shirts, because when I do make myself buy one, I wear it out, fast. Because they're so short-lived, creating a collection of them doesn't have any appeal--even though all signs point to the fact that I need to start one! The same is true of sports bras, which rank with Drano on things I'm never inclined to buy, particularly since I bury them under as many other layers as possible (the idea of exercising in a sports bra alone is very foreign to me). But, I need some new ones, since the elastic in my current array is actually disintegrating . And I think I'm going to go with the Stephanie Hirsch-designed, camo-edged versions from the in-house line at the very obsession-worthy Soul-Cycle.

If you missed all of the hubbub about how amazing Chelsea Clinton looked at her wedding, you also missed how she came to her physique: Hours spent on the spin bikes at Soul Cycle. The clientele is intimidatingly cult-like in their devotion to the exercise program (primarily because it works), and so it's rare to see anyone in the room without at least one piece of Soul-Cycle clothing on (Hirsch designs the super-sexy Inca swimwear collection as well). Which is one of the reasons I feel like I need to buy my way into the club by way of a camo sports bra (kind of cool in fluorescent, no?). They're also cut from the sort of material you'd find in running tights, which means they're super thin--but the four straps lend ample support. I guess I know I'm sold when I have this much to say about a sports bra! That, and I'm hoping to channel Chelsea's pre-wedding fitness dedication so that I look equally toned in my wedding photos. Dare to dream guys, dare to dream.
