Sara Millionaire's Fall Favorite: Isabel Marant

A style afficionado with a penchant for runway fashion and rock and roll, 25-year-old Sara Millionaire showcases her edgy-chic taste on her blog, wr2bam.com (which stands for Waitin' Round 2 Be A Millionaire, just in case you didn't catch that). This week, she's sharing all her greatest tips with us on Lucky Right Now, from must-have staples for rockers to the pop culture icons who most influence her look.

One of my favorite fall 2010 collections isIsabel Marant's--the clothes are fresh and unexpected and at her show kind of look like they'd all been randomly pulled from some extremely cool girl's closet and just flung on the models. I like that kind of laid-back spirit. What really jumps out at me about her pieces are how their party-readytextures, like shaggy fur and luxe sequins, feel surprisinglycasual and daytime when mixed with tough black leatherand basic heather gray jersey. I can't even begin to hope to afford anything from the actual collection, so I've been all over the Internet hunting forpieces witha similar vibe.

Here are some things I came up with that could feel very Isabel Marant--not to be worn all at once, of course, unless that's what you're into. I'd scour the sequined leggings with a Brillo pad to temper down the shine and pair them with a striped mohair sweater and tomato red flats for daytime; and at night the jersey dress and denim jacket worn under the shaggy fur vest could feel kind of uptown/downtown and very Marant, no?
