NYFW Scorecard: Michael Kors
The Show: 30th Anniversary of Michael Kors
The Scene: The celeb-filled theatre at Lincoln Center--non-stop flash bulbs in the faces of stars such as Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bette Midler and Heidi Klum.
The Music: A dancy remix of Donna Summer's greatest disco hits "I Feel Love" and "Love to Love You Baby."
The Look: Starting off with modernist, minimal stylings the collection segued into impeccably tailored suiting, Kors' signature grandiose furs and the slinkiest crystal-embellished gowns. This is Michael Kors at his finest and to quote a line from his run of show, "30 Years of American Luxury" says it best.
The Pieces We Want: Felted flannel blazer and black crystal lounge pants, elongated keyhole blouse and thigh slit skirt, buttery silk wrap dress with the knitted fur jacket and the slick metal chokers that accompanied most looks.
