NYFW Scorecard: United Bamboo
The Show: United Bamboo
The Scene: A daylight studio way west on 31st Street.
The Music: Peter Kember AKA Sonic Boom
The Front Row: An arty lot featuring the likes of Sean Lennon, James Iha and Waris Ahluwalia.
The Look: A foolproof ensemble of prep school meets headmistress with a slight nod to the boys of the Dead Poet's Society. Their usual off-kilter cuts were replaced by killer tailoring only magnified by the duo's luxe wool, shearling and jersey fabrics.
The Pieces We Want: Besides every piece of outerwear that walked the runway, the shearling-accented coat and the band-style cardigan worn over a plaid shirtdress with horse-bit flats are quintessential fall 2011 must-haves. Also on the to-die-for list--the platform-heeled loafers.
