A Splash of Neon

Yes I admit I LOVE the new trend: NEON (or as we used to call it in the Netherlands: Fluor). I believe it was last year, when I saw neon popping up here and there on the internet in home decor accessories, that it really caught my attention.

So great to see that the fashion industry re-discovered these bright and shiny colors. I remember when I was a teenager in the eighties (!) how important it was to wear neon. I have never been a fan of covering yourself in a full neon outfit nor would I recommend doing this with your kids, but a splash of neon, like an accessory, a print or neon stitching is totally cool in my book! Just one tip... don't add any shiny textures, glitter or sparkles to the outfit--just a splash of neon will do the trick.
