Chloe Sevigny Rocks a Bow-Tie to Celebrate Five Years of Target's GO International Designer Collective

The ultra-cool Ace Hotel was taken over last night by Target and the creme de la creme of New York were crammed into The Breslin restaurant. There they hobnobbed with the GO International designers who collaborated with Target in 2006 to offer designer dresses at budget prices ($39 for a Thakoon dress!). The dresses are being re-released to celebrate the program's five year anniversary, so remember how you bought seven Tucker dresses on Target.com for like, $100? Well, get out your credit card, ladies, because they're baaaaack at most Target stores and target.com on March 13th.

I had the chance to interview a bunch of the designers and was really impressed with how much they had loved collaborating with the mass retailer. They described having total creative control but being able to sell their designs at affordable prices because of the huge distribution that Target offers. I quickly took notes and ran, credit card in hand, to scoop up a bunch of their wares, nearly tripping over Liv Tyler and Chloe Sevigny in the process. Santigold hit the stage around nine and the night was closed with a performance by Sheila E., who performed "The Glamorous Life." Seriously, a major party.
