Sample Sale Lowdown: Sigerson Morrison
This morning we stopped by TriBeca's tiny Steven Sclaroff gallery to say goodbye to Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison and shop discounted inventory from their Sigerson Morrison Laboratory Boutique. We'll warn you now: not only is the line long but the space is tight and saddled with a 10 shopper minimum.
However, once inside, shoe-fiends will revel in shiny patents, burnished metallics and glistening exotic skins galore--all found in the design duo's signature styles and colors. Prices start at $65 for Belle sandals and go up to $500 for reptile boots and though size 11s will rejoice in the large selection, stock in size 7 has dwindled to only 5 pairs. Also, there's a noteworthy, but limited, selection of home goods, like vintage mod specs for $60, small Italian notebooks for $5-$7, Bougie D'Apothicaire Candles for $35-$55, and an assortment of Assouline chic coffee table books starting at $4. One last caveat: don't delay! Get there soon since stock is very limited and will not be replenished. We were happy to see Miranda Morrison manning the cash register and word on the street is that she and her partner may be looking to regroup and launch another line in the future. We can't wait to see what's next on the horizon for this pair of dynamite designers.
