Fashion Scorecard: McQ Resort 2012

The Look: McQ, the lower-priced line helmed by creative director Sarah Burton, has taken a turn for the surfer-inspired, body-conscious cool with minidresses and pantsuits that are sleek and feminine with eye-popping details, like bright corset belts and leather harness detailing.

The Accessories: This is the first time McQ has done accessories, and we couldn't be more excited. The handbags are bright and cheerful in an array of materials--denim, leather and neoprene--all bedecked with rocker details, such as zippers, buckles and studs.

What We Loved: Our favorite look was the curve-hugging minidress rendered in a kaleidoscopic pink and purple haze with black cap sleeves.

How We'd Wear It: This look is very sexy, but to keep it casual we'd pair it with flat sandals and throw a chambray shirt over it.
