It's All About...Polka Dots

We've been seeing spots lately, and, no, we don't need a trip to the doctor. The fall runways were full of polka dots, and we couldn't be more excited for a new print to take hold in our collective closets. Graphic patterns, tribal motifs and florals have ruled the runways for the past few seasons, and now it seems the torch has been passed. Whether the dots are subtle (like at Stella McCartney), or oversize (like at Marc Jacobs), they're totally cheeky and just a little--dare we say--optimistic? So perfect for summer.

Styling Tips:

-- Pair a polka-dot blouse with high-waisted pants and heels, and you are ready for the office--with a twist.

-- Rock a spotted dress. Too quirky? Never fear, temper the look with a structured blazer and pumps.

-- Go for spot-lite and relegate the pattern to accessories, like a flat or scarf.
