In Memoriam: The Amy Winehouse (sky-high!) Beehive

The towering beehive that looked like it weighed more than double her body mass was spooky-cool and it was sexy and it was—so her.

1.) Section off a substantial piece of hair from the top-middle of the back of your head (as if you were gathering hair to make a half-up-half-down ponytail), and sprinkle/rub in a volumizing powder or texturizer like Eufora Volume Fusion Spray.

2.) With a comb, tease the underside of the section of hair (the more you tease the hair into a matted clump, the more volume and height your hive will have).

3.) Tuck some of the teased hair under itself and pin it down using bobbi pins—almost as if you were curling it under in a roll—and leave some of the teased hair sticking up.

4.) Smooth strands of (un-teased) hair over the matted nest of hair and pin it down so that the teased hair is not visible.

5.) Finally, liberally apply serious holding spray like TRESemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Non-Aerosol Hair Spray or Living Proof Full Root Lifting Spray.
