Designer Adam Lippes Comments on Kate Middleton's Chic Travel Style

Always practical, Kate Middleton deplaned at Yellowknife in the navy one-button blazer by Canadian label Smythe that we saw her wear a few days ago when she started this trip. Plus J Brand skinny jeans she wore on Prince Edward Island yesterday, and her beloved espadrille wedges. A more casual look for the Duchess, and we so appreciate her polished travel outfits (no yoga pants on a plane for her!). Designer Adam Lippes of ADAM had this to say about Middleton’s travel look: “As usual, The Duchess of Cambridge looked fantastic today. While she was more casual, her look was easy and refined, with the sexiness of a great wedge and coolness of a men’s blazer. She certainly proves casual doesn’t have to mean sloppy and; I love the fact that she wore a look familiar to many young women today.” We generally go for a ballet flat when travelling, but she is a duchess with the whole world watching, so the espadrille is a smart middle ground; comfy, yet with heel.
