Look for Less: Carey Mulligan

British actress Carey Mulligan recently attended a benefit in a laser cut leather dress from Valentino’s fall collection. Now, leather might not be the first thing you reach for on a sultry summer evening, but this outfit will change your mind. The fabric can look unexpectedly light, especially in any of the new cuts and colors out there on the market right now. A pleated skirt reads more preppy than Hells Angels, and nude shorts are more demure than sexy. Stick to blush tones and anything in the tan/beige/taupe family for a delightfully airy effect.
