30 Lipsticks in 30 Days! Day 29: Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in Cranberry Cream
There’s two ways Cranberry Cream can go.
You can apply it as I did this morning for work: Instead of swiping it across my lips, I stippled it on like a painter, imparting a rich berry stain that lasted for hours. The color’s definitely strong—and it plays off pale skin nicely—but you’re not going to feel overdressed wearing it to a 10.30am meeting.
Now if you swipe it on straight from the tube, it’s a whole different story: The rich, berry color is so red, dense and glossy, it functions like a glittering necklace or a fox fur stole—it adds that hit of glamour that no one in a 50-foot vicinity could possibly ignore.
What a shame it would be to be stuck in an office wearing a full, shiny coat of Cranberry Cream. I’d save that kind of gorgeousness for a Friday night.
