NYFW Spring 2012: Rebecca Taylor—Light and Flirty With a Touch of Leather

Rebecca Taylor is known for her fun prints and flirty dresses, and this season she stayed true to her style ethos. The New Zealand native delivered on her usual promise of pretty prints and feminine separates.

Her color palette was light—lots of watercolors and shades of nude, but there was a fair amount of black thrown in. The shoes were a stark contrast to the soft clothes—metallic cage t-strap heels—pretty disco for a collection full of ethereal pieces.

Last season's paillettes made a guest appearance on sweaters and pants (!); a neon green dress was a showstopper. The highlight of the show was the laser-cut leather—on sleeves, on tops—suddenly those soft dresses got a bit of edge. Click through to see the full collection.
