Milan Fashion Week 2012: Fire Shoes At Prada
The Venue: Top editors gawk in amazement over the massive Prada set in Milan, complete with giant styrofoam 1950s cars and chrome cages around pillars. The space was decked out for the type of show only Miuccia Prada can deliver.
The Look: Grease lighting goes ladylike. Flame-like imagery burned across the entire collection of embellished unitards, chiffon skirts and eyelet tube tops. Structured boxy jackets adorned with gemstones and florals balanced out flowy, pleated skirts.
The Pieces We Want: While the fire shoes certainly caught our eye, it was the feminine just-above-the-knee skirts that stayed in our hearts. Totally of-the-moment, yet classic enough to wear for years.
Lucky Fashion Director Anne Keane, who attended the show, couldn't help but marvel over the "amazing color combos," especially the "forest green leather skirt and baby blue top." Accompanying her, Lucky Executive Fashion Director Alexis Bryan Morgan said, "My favorite look had a sheer burgundy cape/coat with a jeweled neckline."
