Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012: Versace is All About Donatella

This recent collection left no doubt that Donatella holds the reigns in the house that Gianni built.

The models all bore resemblance to her, from the long blond hair parted right down the middle to the lucite platforms that are generally found on a different kind of catwalk. The collection bounded between the hard—black leather pencil skirts that had us thinking of Claudia Schiffer in the 80s— to the soft: dresses and separates in shades of sorbet with an ocean motif.  

Versace rounded out the show with long gowns that are sure to be seen on red carpets and magazine covers come January. Click through to see the entire collection.
