NYFW Spring 2012: Marc Jacobs Brings the House Down
I'd like to propose something: I say that Marc Jacobs should show on the last day of New York Fashion Week, in the last time slot, every season. This year, the city's most famous designer was forced to push his collection show back from Monday to Thursday because of Hurricane Irene. Surprisingly, it was the best thing that could have happened for all of us. Because let's be honest: At the end of 10 days, we're all tired. And Marc's high-energy, high-design show couldn't be a better pick me up.
Per usual, there was a bit of granny chic in the clothes: we're happy to report that socks with heels will yet again reign this spring, as will plastic-fantastic paillettes. But the style we really want to catch on? A 1950s-style rockabilly hairband, tied neatly but not too neatly. Click through to see the entire Marc Jacobs collection. We know you can't resist.
