nyfw spring 2012: Diane von Furstenberg's pretty prints
The Diane Von Furstenberg show is always a media circus, and this season was no different. The front row was jammed with celebs from Susan Sarandon, to Anna dello Russo to Rachel Zoe, but we were too busy ogling Mr. Valentino (in all his tanned glory), and the ever-handsome Oscar de la Renta to notice.
When we did manage to tear our eyes away we were thrilled to see gorgeous clothes that we can't wait to get our hands on--DVF opened the show with a crisp white shirtdress that was a hybrid of her famous wrap dress and a collared Oxford button down. She showed dresses and separates that played on colorblocking, but rather than juxtaposing the usual brights, she used rich browns and khakis with bright turquoise.
No DVF show is complete without some knockout prints and this season she didn't disappoint. Overblown florals were on lightweight coats--perfect for those cool days of spring. The designer topped her looks off with unexpectedly quirky sunglasses--plastic with neon accents.
