NYFW Spring 2012: It Was All About Texture at Lela Rose
The Scene: A large crowd of established editors and well-heeled socialites came out early this morning for Lela Rose's trademark ladylike designs.
The Look: Gallery girl heads uptown. Painterly watercolor and abstract prints reigned supreme in this playful, artsy collection. Texture was everywhere: metallic paired with patchwork; wood against jersey. And the accessories? Not to be ignored! The color-blocked sherbet and pistachio wedges and chunky geometric necklaces added an element of sophistication to each outfit.
Pieces We Want: A fluid twist-front silk dress that conjers images of crochet and teatime garden parties. Plus, a sheer nude polka-dot number. Sweet and sexy!
