Doo.Ri Chung looked to illustrator Daniel Egneus' sketches for Spring 2012 inspiration. As such, the collection featured soft cuts and lots of draping—always key elements in Chung's shows.
We saw shirt dresses that combined a starched oxford with a Grecian style skirt—Chung said she wanted to "anchor drape to structure" this season. Pleating was a key element in many of the looks—in some cases, the intricate pleats created a peplum at the waist of the otherwise fluid skirts and dresses.
She kept her color palette neutral—white, black, shades of nude—but added some shocks of neon yellow. Our favorite look was the most unexpected: a bold purple pattern on a set of
