Jenni Kayne is known for her easy, chic separates. After all, a California-based designer needs a wardrobe that is anything but fussy. In our sneak peek of her Spring 2012 collection she revealed her mood board, which was was full of old magazine covers (Linda Evangelista in a neon pink blazer and shorts? Major!) and girls in light, white cotton pieces.

She certainly stayed true to her vision with simple, lightweight separates and easy shift dresses. The color palette was heavily neutral—lots of black, white and nude—but there were pops of fluro pink that had us swooning.

Kayne's shoes are always at the top of our wishlist and this season will be no different—the two-strap sandals with silver detail are perfect for summer in the city. Our favorite was the neon lace pencil skirt with cardigan: a bit of sexy granny gone to the disco. Click through for the full collection.
