Kate Spade New York Spring 2012: A Year of Pattern
You can always rely on Deborah Lloyd of Kate Spade New York to deliver pieces that every girl, no matter her personal style, wants to wear. For 2011, the brand launched a Year of Color, dedicating each month to a specific hue (we're currently in the month of chocolate...mmm...Snickers...). For 2012, we can expect prints upon prints. KSNY will be drawng inspiration from the different patterns of Austrailian wallpaper designer Florence Broadhurst each season.
Now, on to the clothes, which were brilliantly displayed (styled by Brad Goreski) at last night's clever little presentation. (Lloyd used a microphone to describe each look to the audience, an old school format that has been recently been adopted by Tom Ford and Victoria Beckham.) For Spring 2012, expect the usual charm, with an extra dose of wit. Favorites include the casual t-shirts, a chevron striped dress, a "Tennis, anyone?"-emblazoned racquet case and a tote that says "Eat Cake for Breakfast." Like we said, you can always rely on Kate Spade New York.
