Converse Goes Camo For Their Collab with the Gorillaz

Converse's "The Artists. One Song" project is a rare two-way collaboration, yielding not just a new shoe but also an original track (past artists include Matt & Kim and Soulja Boy).

This year's chosen anchor is the Gorillaz, and while we can't slip you a snippet of their yet-recorded song, we can show you the sneaker.

Rendered in a geometric camouflage print, the classic Chuck Taylor gets an even more street-savvy update. We've always loved a solid-colored Chuck as an alternative to ballet flats, but maybe so much so that our standby kicks have lost their subversiveness.

Not so with this pair, which steps up the graffitied, urban look while keeping the clean, old-school shape (and price tag: $60) in tact. Like the symbiotic "Three Arists. One Song" initiative it sprang from, the sneaker's kind of the best of both worlds.

Shop them nationwide and on converse.com next February.
