10 Best European Cities for Shopping
Feel like taking a little retail vacation before the holidays roll around? Yeah, us too. The Economist Intelligence Unit just released The Globe Shopper City Index for Europe, in which they've assessed 33 retail-rich destinations across the continent to determine which cities are most worth your time and money.
By evaluating the diversity of stores, overall affordability and exchange rate, transportational convenience, local culture and climate of each, they carefully calculated the shopper-friendliness of each of travel destination. So which cities should you plan to hit on your next trip across the pond? The answers might surprise you.
London
London nabbed the index's top spot for its variety—and sheer number—of stores that cater to every type of shopper. It's not the best for bargains, to be sure, but Topshop and Primark can make for happy hunting grounds.
