The Top Nine Budget Living Blogs

The following is a guest post from our friends at The Budget Fashionista.

Look there’s a bazillion blogs out there and even as fellow blogger I sometimes get overwhelmed by the sheer number of blogs on the web. So I put together this list of some of my favorite budget living blogs on the web. I’m always looking for new ones, so please feel free to add your favorite budget living blog in the comment section below.

Top Budget Living Blogs

1. The Budget Fashionista
Yes, but we really do read our own site, everyday. Founded in 2003, TBF made budget fashion cool. The site features a wide range of topics from the best mobile coupon sites to how to build a recession proof closet to how to get out of debt.

2. Wisebread
Wisebread is one stop reading for all things budget, with so much content that the site can be borderline overwhelming. However, when looking for information on how to live on a small (er) budget this site has it all.

3. Deal Seeking Mom
There’s a lot to love about DSM, like the downloadable weekly meal planning guide that pairs nicely with the exclusive grocery coupons available in the site’s extensive coupon database.

4. Free From Broke
FFB provides straight-forward personal finance advice for normal people who just want the basics to living a more financially secure life- which is exactly what you expect from a blog that bills itself as the “personal finance blog for regular folks”.

5. Real Simple
Yeah, I know it’s a popular magazine, however the Real Simple website features a series of blogs that helps you do everything from use condiments from your frig as household cleaners to creating frugal wedding favors from candies you can buy at your local Wal-mart.

6. Penny Pinchin’ Mom
Part blog, part coupon database, Tracie and the gang at PPM features tips and tricks to get the most bang for your buck. “Check out the Lessons From Mama” section for real-life personal finance tips

7. Shoestring Magazine
This up and coming blog + magazine supplements its savvy original content with aggregated content from some of the top budget living sources from around the web.

8. Savvy Sugar
Who says budget living has to be boring and dull? I love the hip voice of this personal finance/ money blog, part of the Sugar network of sites.

9. Zen Habits
Okay, so this isn’t a budget living blog per-see, but best-selling author Leo Babauta’s site is a straight-forward guide to simple living, encouraging you to spend less time and money on stuff and more on living yourself.
