Kick-Ass 14-Year-Old Chloe Moretz on Versace for H&M—and Waiting to Buy the "Really Good Stuff" in Life

Last night's Versace for H&M fête was a truly star-studded (and, well, literally studded) affair, with celebs like Blake Lively, Debbie Harry and Sofia Coppola walking the carpet. Add to that a couple of powerhouse performances courtesy of Nicki Minaj and Prince, as well as the heavy-metal, body-con collection itself, and there's no question that Pier 57 was the place to be last night.

While manning the arrivals area, I caught up with rising starlet and fashion-world darling Chloe Moretz, who was supporting Donatella in a pale yellow sheath dress from the H&M collab. "It's young, it's fresh—and it's high fashion, but at the same time it's something you could wear on the street," the actress explained of the Versace capsule.

"I'm eclectic!" Chloe said of her own personal style. "I love vintage pieces and new pieces, too. But my mom doesn't let me buy really high-fashion designers—I have to wait until I'm a little bit older. She says the age to buy really good stuff is 16...so just two more years! Plus, I'll be driving then, so there's lots to look forward to."

While we were chatting, I couldn't help but notice Chloe's amazing turquoise eye makeup—a daring choice for a girl who usually opts for a more toned-down beauty regime. "I've actually never worn color on my eyes until tonight," she admitted. "So my makeup artist was like, 'I'm gonna do something crazy!' Luckily, I really like it." So do we, Chloe.
