Chanel
Ever the maestro of elaborate excess, Karl Lagerfeld titled this pre-fall showing "Paris-Bombay." Staged among tables piled high with flowers and sweet treats, the Kaiser sent out metallic leggings, asymmetrically-draped tunics and tweeds embellished with pearls and sparkling stones. The models wore Indian-style bejeweled headdresses, chain-handled bags slung cross-body and sari-style sashes in rich shades of fuchsia and gold.
