Watch Right Now: Cheeky-Chic Holiday Videos from Two French Fashion Houses
There's nothing we love more than a fun designer video to break up the workday. And we just stumbled across two, from Lanvin and Dior, that make for perfect procrastination fodder.
You might remember that Lanvin's Alber Elbaz was tapped to decorate the Christmas tree for posh London hotel Claridge's this season. And in the label's latest vid, a pint-sized plush version of the bespectacled designer comes to life, trolling the hotel halls and spying on Claridge's yuletide preparations. He eventually resumes his post atop the festively-attired tree, making this the most stylish take on Toy Story we've ever seen.
Meanwhile, Dior ambassador Marion Cotillard stars as a hot-tempered screen diva in the brand's new mini-film, cleverly titled L.A.dy Dior and set in—you guessed it—Beverly Hills. Shot by John Cameron Mitchell and styled by Giovanna Battaglia, the short sees Cotillard's character Margaux jonesing to ditch her acting career, then being escorted to a poolside photoshoot where her frustration reaches its boiling point. For our part, we're a bit skeptical anyone would be driven to throw a hissy fit when surrounded by male models in swimwear—not to mention that gorgeous multi-colored croc Lady Dior tote—but perhaps we're just easy to please.
Check out both videos below. Do you prefer Lanvin's ode to Christmas playthings or Dior's Hollywood Hills spoof?
