Lookbook Love: TEXTILE Elizabeth and James' Psychedelic Pastel Dreams
We already know that minty green is going to be huge next season and—if the Olsen twins have any input (and when it comes to fashion, they ALWAYS do, right?)—so will baby blue and bubblegum pink. The sisters' new TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Spring 2012 lookbook, featured on Fashionista, is chock full of Easter egg hues.
In true Mary-Kate and Ashley form, the shots are nonchalant, no-nonsense and focused solely on the outfits themselves. But what outfits they are! Macaron shades abound, coupled with tie-dyed stovepipes and crisp Supergas. There are a few slouchy crochet knits which feel a little bohemian, but not overly so. And the button-front overalls with faded straight legs might be the first denim onesie we've wanted since the fourth grade—it's just that cool.
The entire collection has us dreaming of warmer climates, even though the worst of winter is yet to come (sigh). But hey, that's not going to stop us! With a couple of nubby wool cardigans and ankle booties, most of these pieces can go into rotation right away.
