Lucky Haul: Thailand Edition

Over New Year’s, I visited Thailand—where I discovered the national sport isn’t really muay Thai boxing, but shopping.
In Bangkok, there are shops down every lane, filling blocks at the Weekend Market and in high-rise skyscraper malls. They even have a floating market with shops on boats. At the Siam Paragon mall, shoppers can purchase a new Lamborghini from a stand alone dealership, but I stepped into Zara instead where I found tons of winter staples (many of which are long gone from Stateside stores) on sale.
Even though it was 80 degrees outside (with 70 percent humidity), I purchased this green wool coat that I knew would be worn lots when I returned to New York. I also picked up an adorable Lilo and Stitch iPhone cover at one of the many electronics accessories stores inside the CentralWorld mall. The Thai seem to love Disney’s Stitch; I saw a girl carrying a fuzzy shoulder bag made out of his face.
