Target Replaces Go International With 'The Shops at Target'

Two looks from The Webster's capsule

Last week, Target announced that it was discontinuing its super-successful Go International program—the one that let us get our hands on Proenza Schouler and Thakoon for a steal. But here's the good news: the superstore's new collaboration program promises to be just as covetable, if formatted somewhat differently.

The Shops at Target take the idea of a pop-up boutique and places it squarely within Target's own stores. Partnering with different specialty shops that range from home décor to beauty to fashion, Target locations will host temporary (think several-week-long) pop-ups both in-store and online. The first "flight" of The Shops at Target, which launches May 6, will include The Candy Store, Polka Dog Bakery (canine goodies!), Privet House (home décor), Cos Bar (beauty products) and—most excitingly, in our humble opinion—multi-designer Miami Beach boutique The Webster. All in all, almost 400 exclusive items will be up for grabs—none of which will cost more than $160.

Check out the video below to learn more about Target's changing direction and to get the backstory on the first batch of The Shops at Target vendors.
