10 Fall 2012 Gowns We Think Michelle Williams Should Consider for the Oscars
Michelle Williams has been blazing a fantastically stylish trail lately, wearing labels ranging from Jason Wu to Victoria Beckham. Still, with the year's biggest night in cinema fast approaching, the pressure's on.
Here are some looks we spotted on the runways last week that seem like a perfect fit for the My Week With Marilyn star. Which dress are you rooting for?
Sure, the hand print is a bit off-the-wall, but we think Michelle's got the eccentric appeal to pull it off.
Picture this one as a full-length gown, and...wow. Just, wow.
This pale lavender gown by one of Kate Middleton's favorite labels features sleeves and a bias-cut skirt—both favorites of Michelle's.
The workmanship on this teal gown is just incredible. And again, it's got sleeves.
We're pretty sure Michelle's onscreen alter ego Marilyn Monroe would approve of this gilded showstopper.
Look past the Dr. Seuss-esque hat, furry wrap and pilgrim-buckled pumps and this is actually a solid Oscars option. We love the embellished bodice in particular.
L'Wren received deserved accolades when she dressed Shailene Woodley for the SAGs, and we think she could easily do the same for Michelle at the Academy Awards. Especially with a dress as lovely as this.
Michelle looked jaw-droppingly gorgeous in that red Valentino at the SAGs, and should she choose to continue on her scarlet streak, this long-sleeved Kors could be the perfect option.
The décolletage-framing cutout and red embellishment are sexy, while the princess skirt and loads of tulle keep things regal.
Chicago designers Shane Gabier and Chris Peters are fairly new to the fashion world, but if there's anyone who could single-handedly launch an up-and-coming label through sheer celeb power, it's Michelle. Plus, the flapper silhouette of this gown seems so her.
